William Edmond Campion

William Edmond Campion commonly know as Will or Willi was born on the 7th of April 1892. Like his brother Gerald he was drawn into joining the Army and fought in Europe. He was killed in action on the 8th of October 1917 in Belgium. He was a member of the 10th Battalion A.I.F and his name is enscribed on the wall at Menin Gate, Belgium. When Mark Carter visited France, Germany and Belgium he attempted to locate the grave of Willie located at Leper, but due to the time contraints he was only able to locate his name enscribed at Menin Gate.
